"Empower Your mind, Unlock Your Potential, Redefine Your Life with the Power of Hypnotherapy."

What is Hypnosis?

“Hypnosis is a skill that blends science with empathy. An incredible discovery that fuelled my motivation to dive deeper”.

Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and heightened concentration, where the mind becomes more open and responsive to suggestions. In this state, the individual experiences deep relaxation while maintaining awareness, allowing them to bypass the critical mind and access the subconscious. This openness to suggestion makes hypnosis an effective tool for facilitating positive changes in thoughts, behaviours, and emotions

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses the state of hypnosis—a focused and relaxed state of awareness—to facilitate positive changes in a person’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In this state, the subconscious mind becomes more open and receptive to suggestions, allowing the therapist to guide the client in altering limiting beliefs, patterns, and habits that may be contributing to their challenges.

It combines the power of the subconscious mind with evidence-based cognitive-behavioural techniques (i.e. CBT) to create lasting change. By using these techniques, hypnotherapy helps clients identify negative thought patterns, replace them with healthier, more constructive thoughts, and build new, positive behaviours that support their goals.

The integration of cognitive-behavioural approaches within hypnotherapy allows for a structured framework where clients learn to recognize and modify automatic responses and behaviours. This combination enhances the effectiveness of therapy, ensuring that changes are not just temporary but deeply embedded, leading to lasting transformation.

Hypnotherapy is a safe and collaborative process, with the therapist serving as a guide to help the client harness the power of their own mind to achieve clarity, emotional balance, and personal growth.

Myths to Dispel about Hypnosis

There are many misconceptions about hypnosis. One of the most common is that the hypnotist can make you do things against your will. In reality, you will always be aware and in control of your actions. Hypnosis is a cooperative process between the client and the therapist.

Another myth is that people can get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis. This is false: at most, you may feel so relaxed that you do not want to come out of the trance immediately, but you can always come out whenever you want.

During the session, I will not ‘work on you’ but ‘work with you’. The aim is to help you explore and resolve your internal blocks. The session will only be effective if you are willing to embark on a path of change. Hypnotherapy is not magic: it is a technique that guides your unconscious mind towards inner solutions.

What to Expect in a Session

The first consultation marks the beginning of meaningful change. We’ll discuss your goals, outline the sessions needed, and explore how hypnotherapy works with your specific concerns. You’ll also receive a complimentary guided relaxation audio to support your progress.

Each session typically starts with a review of positive changes you’ve noticed, focusing on mindset and brain function in relation to your experiences. I’ll ask questions to help you visualize solutions, then guide you into a relaxed state to reflect on insights gained. Sessions leave you feeling mentally and physically calmer, with renewed positivity.

Welcome!

At MindSoulness Hypnotherapy, led by Osvaldo Tenace, we integrate the mind, body, and soul to facilitate powerful healing. I support individuals in their quest for significance, love, and belonging by helping them release old, destructive beliefs and habits. My approach incorporates various evidence-based practices, such us Cognitive-Behavioural Techniques (i.e. CBT), including Ideo-Motor-Response (IMR) therapy, Parts therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), all grounded in mindfulness and contemplative techniques. My client-centered, strengths-based philosophy emphasizes creating a compassionate and sacred therapeutic space, allowing clients to explore their experiences and cultivate self-compassion.

Analytical hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that combines traditional hypnosis with analytic techniques to explore and resolve underlying psychological issues stored in the subconscious mind. It focuses on uncovering the root causes of emotional, mental, or behavioural challenges, rather than just addressing surface-level symptoms.

Why Choose Analytical Hypnotherapy approach?

Choosing Analytical Hypnotherapy: A Path to Lasting Change

Analytical hypnotherapy goes beyond symptom management by addressing the root causes of emotional and behavioral challenges. This approach dives deep into the subconscious to uncover unresolved experiences and hidden emotions, enabling profound self-understanding and long-term healing. By reprogramming limiting subconscious patterns, clients gain greater freedom and make empowered choices. Analytical hypnotherapy is particularly effective for resolving trauma and offers a transformative experience that supports lasting change in life and relationships. Additionally, it can be combined with cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and regression therapy for a holistic, integrative approach to well-being.

Frequently Asked Questions about Hypnotherapy

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, hypnosis is generally considered safe when conducted by a trained professional. It is a natural state of mind and does not involve any harmful practices.

What can hypnosis help with?

Hypnosis can assist with various issues, including stress and anxiety, smoking cessation, weight management, phobias, pain management, and improving sleep, among others.

How does hypnosis work?

Hypnosis works by bypassing the critical mind and accessing the subconscious, where habits, beliefs, and emotions are stored. This allows for reprogramming and positive change.

If I’m hypnotised do I give up control?

No. Hypnosis is a streamlined state of focused attention, similar to
when you are absorbed in a book, a film a sport or a craft. You have
the ability to emerge from hypnosis at any time if you wish. Your
hypnotherapist could be described as a guide taking you on a journey;
they are the facilitator but any change can only be made by you.
Realising that you are in control and can make changes yourself can be
very empowering.

How many hypnotherapy sessions are needed?

The number of hypnotherapy sessions needed will vary depending
on you and your needs and the issues being addressed. Some people may
experience positive changes after just a few sessions, while others
may require more to achieve their desired results. Whilst Hypnotherapy
isn’t a magical process, hypnotherapy can help you create positive
change in a relatively short period of time. Typically for anxiety and
stress related issues, on average clients have between 6 – 8 sessions
to create a solid foundation of change, and further sessions are
sometimes required to get you where you want to be.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Most people can be hypnotised to some degree, as long as they are
willing and open to the process. The effectiveness of hypnotherapy
depends on your motivation and willingness to commit to the process.
In general, most people can benefit from hypnosis, but the degree of
responsiveness can vary.

Does Online Hypnotherapy Work?

Research is on its side, showing that it can be just as effective as
in-person sessions. Online hypnotherapy may fit your lifestyle and
budget much more comfortably.
